Nation-Building Through Community Development

The Indigenous Project Foundation is a registered Alberta nonprofit society serving First Nations communities across Canada. We fund and deliver programs that address the interconnected challenges of digital access, education, mental health, and economic development.

Our model is unique: we build self-sustaining programs where each initiative generates resources that fuel the next, creating a cycle of community empowerment that reduces dependency on external funding.

Digital Sovereignty

First Nations control their own digital infrastructure, data, and technology. We build capacity, not dependency.

Holistic Approach

Healing and wellness come before skills training. We address the whole person — mind, body, spirit, and community.

Self-Sustaining Models

Every program is designed to generate revenue that funds future programming — reducing long-term grant dependency.

Indigenous-Led

Our board, our staff, and our delivery partners are Indigenous. Nothing about us without us.

Four Pillars of Community Empowerment

Each program addresses a critical need and connects to the others — creating a complete pipeline from digital access to sustainable employment.

💻

Digital Access Computer Labs

We raise funds to build computer labs with hardware, software, and internet infrastructure in isolated First Nations communities. Nations sign partnership agreements to use the labs for member training. Labs connect users with online safety certification, creating a self-sustaining revenue model that funds future labs.

AI Business Incubator

The future is AI — and Indigenous communities deserve to lead. Our incubator teaches First Nations members how to build and run their own AI-powered online businesses. Students learn practical AI skills, business development, and digital entrepreneurship, graduating ready to launch their own ventures.

Our GO (Greater Opportunities) Wellness program provides culturally safe mental health support, grief and trauma counselling, Elder-led healing, and holistic wellness services.
